What Litterbugs is building

Litterbugs is being built as a civic cleanup marketplace and impact platform. Visitors can browse privacy-safe reports and verified cleanup history. The planned commercial release includes web reporting and one-time cleanup funding, individual paid cleanup claims, evidence review, receipts, and cleaner-focused native applications.

Litterbugs is not an emergency service, hazardous-waste operator, law-enforcement agency, medical service, or substitute for property authorization.

Eligibility and user responsibilities

All cleanup participants must be adults. Paid cleanup work also requires the configured cleaner, safety, payment-provider, and legal-acceptance checks to pass.

• Provide truthful, useful report details and follow the product flow for required photos and safety answers.
• Use only lawful, accessible locations. Obtain property permission when a report concerns private property.
• Follow current safety instructions, bring suitable equipment, and stop work when conditions are unsafe or unclear.
• Do not touch, move, collect, transport, or closely photograph dangerous material. Use the safety guidance and appropriate public authorities instead.
• Protect other people’s privacy. Do not upload unnecessary faces, children, license plates, house numbers, documents, or precise location details.

Reports and public display

Reports describe a location or coherent cleanup area, its condition, access context, safety information, and evidence. Public views use approved summaries, approved media derivatives, and approximate geometry. Exact locations, raw uploads, moderation evidence, and private identity details are restricted.

Reports may be reviewed, hidden, rejected, withdrawn, expired, or directed to an appropriate public agency when Litterbugs cannot safely coordinate the work.

Claims and exact location

One report can have one active individual paid-cleanup claim. Claim acceptance checks availability, safety, eligibility, funding, conflicts, legal acceptance, and payment readiness in one server-controlled transaction.

A prospective cleaner receives approximate access context only. Exact address or coordinates are returned only after the accepted claim and funding-lock transaction commits. Failed, stale, canceled, or losing requests receive no exact location.

Funding and payments

The payer selects the cleanup-funding amount. Litterbugs adds a disclosed 10% administration/platform fee and payment-processing charge before checkout confirmation. The selected cleanup-funding amount remains available for eligible cleanup work.

Payments use funding, contribution, sponsorship, marketplace payment, or service-payment language. The product does not describe payments as tax deductible. Production payment and payout activation remains gated on the required legal, banking, insurance, Stripe, security, and operational prerequisites.

Evidence, review, and payout decisions

A report requires at least one before photo captured in the Litterbugs flow. Paid cleanup submission requires at least two after photos, including a broad comparable view, plus disposal notes and other configured evidence.

AI may provide minimized, structured evidence findings. A separate policy service may approve only configured ordinary low-risk work after deterministic checks. Safety concerns, privacy findings, conflicts, disputes, unusual cases, uncertainty, and consequential decisions route to the owner or an authorized administrator. AI cannot directly create a transfer, refund, or other authoritative financial record.

Draft status and changes

This page is not an attorney-approved agreement, does not state an effective date, and does not create a current accepted policy version. Legal acceptance remains a separate, server-controlled action that must use an approved configured document version and audited acceptance flow.

Before live money, counsel must review the customer and cleaner terms, privacy, safety and waiver language, payment and refund treatment, worker classification, nationwide availability, and charitable language. The owner and external parties must also complete the applicable business, insurance, payment, and operational gates.
